Amazon.com adds live streaming capability to its web services

Amazon Web ServicesAmazon.com has announced the launch of live streaming capabilities for Amazon CloudFront, Amazon Web Service’s easy-to-use content delivery network.

Using Amazon CloudFront with Amazon EC2 (Elastic Cloud 2) running Adobe’s Flash Media Server and Amazon Route 53 (AWS’s DNS service), developers, filmmakers and musicians can now easily and cost-effectively deliver live video online. Amazon has also attempted to simplify the getting started process, by creating a template that handles all of the provisioning and sequencing for all the server resources needed for live streaming.

The company has placed a live streaming tutorial online to simplify the getting started process even further. This tutorial walks you through, step by step, how to launch your live streaming event.
